First round of the weekend, I personally like taking the tie option here. This is especially helpful here since Furyk has the better overall ranking and lower per round score by 1/2 stroke.

Minnesota Golden Gophers vs Illinois Fighting Illini
It’s worth noting that this game is being played in Chicago, and Minnesota hasn’t been the same team since beating Illinois on the road on Jan 9 going 5-10. One of those losses is also a home loss to Illinois on Feb 10. Ilinois is 7-8 in that same 15 game span.
Minnesota is a -2 favorite at the moment. These teams were both 8-10 in conference this year with similar overall records as well. Minnesota beat the Illini by 17 @ Illinois earlier in the year, only to lose by 4 at home in their most recent meeting. Minnesota is 4-6 in their last ten games, while The Illini are 6-4. The Illini are 2-1 at neutral sites, and The Golden Golphers are just 1-1. Although Minnesota has dropped two games in a row to poor opponents, I see their mini-slump ending here with a slim victory over the Illini. ( NOTE: Not a true home game for the Illini, but the game is obviously in Chicago, Illinois )-Phillsz
S2thuhB’s Pick: Illinois (Reggie)
L's’s Pick: Illinois
Phillsz’s Pick:Minnesota ( Dro )
Will’s Pick:
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs Boston College Eagles
Tech open up as two point favorites here. On the 9th of March these two teams met @ GT with Tech escaping with a 2-point victory. Tech is 6-12 in conference, 4-6 in their last ten games, and 2-1 on neutral courts. BC is 7-11 in conference, 5-5 in their last ten games, and 0-2 on neutral courts. I see a closely contested, mid 60 low 70's game, with BC pulling away in the last few minutes.-Phillsz
S2thuhB’s Pick: Georgia Tech (Reggie)
L's’s Pick:Georgia tech
Phillsz’s Pick: Boston College ( Reggie Confidence)
Will’s Pick:
Cincinnati 3-Pointers made / Georgetown Winning Margin:
Georgetown is -5 for the game, and Cincinnati hit 5 3-Pointers yesterday.Coming in GT is 12-1 in their last 13, and Cincy is 4-6. In conference play GT was 14-4 and 2-1 on neutral floors losing to Indiana in OT, Cincinnati was 9-9 and 3-0 on neutral floors with wins over Iowa St and Oregon in those games. In their last meeting GT won by 7 and Cincy hit 4 3-Point shots. Honestly, I'm looking for GT to smother Cincy on D and really open this game up early. Look for D'vauntes Smith-Rivera to have a big game
S2thuhB’s Pick: Georgetown (Dro)
L's’s Pick: Georgetown
Phillsz’s Pick:Georgetown ( Kush )
Will’s Pick:
Iowa State Cyclones vs Oklahoma Sooners:
Both 11-7 in conference play. Recent form:
Iowa St: 5-5 last 10 / 1-1 Neutral Floors
Oklahoma 6-4 last 10 / 4-1 on Neutral (Only loss to Zags)
Iowa state - 47/34 RPI / BPI Oklahoma 35/43
I've seen more Oklahoma games than Iowa St, but I have seen Oklahoma at its best and absolute worst. A loss to TCU at the end of the season cost them the 4 seed in the conference tournament. Season series split with Iowa ST Winning by 19 @ Home and Oklahoma winning by 17 @ home. Line opened at Iowa State -1. Both teams went 11-7 in conference play. Iowa St is 5-5 in their last 10, and 1-1 neutral floors. Oklahoma 6-4 in their last ten games, 4-1 on neutral courts only loss to now #1 ranked Zags. Iowa state - 47/34 RPI / BPI Oklahoma 35/43.. I've seen more Oklahoma games than Iowa St, but I have seen Oklahoma at its best and absolute worst. A loss to TCU at the end of the season cost them the 4 seed in the conference tournament . Season series split with Iowa ST Winning by 19 @ Home and Oklahoma winning by 17 @ home ( On 3/2/13 ). Looking for Osby to have a big game and carry his team into the next round of the conference tournament.-Phillsz

Zach Johnson vs Louis Oosthuizen Lower First Round Score
Johnson has a nearly 1 stroke better average this year per 18 holes. Not to mention ranked 31 spots higher in the world, can hit birdies, and has the tie option.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Johnson (Dro)
L's’s Pick: Johnson

Will’s Pick:
Tottenham Hotspur @ Inter Milan: 2 Goals Fewer / 3+
O/U 2.5 -111 both waysAfter a 3-0 win for Tottenham at home I expect Inter Milan to come out trying to equalize, while Tottenham looks for the away goal to clinch it.
S2thuhB’s Pick: 3 Goals/More (Dro)
L's’s Pick: 3/more
Phillsz’s Pick:2 Goals/Less ( Reggie )
Will’s Pick:
Syracuse Orange vs Pittsburgh Panthers
Pitt has played consistent ball this year, while the Orange have been the largely the opposite the second half, and lost at Pitt by 10 back in Feb. While I don’t think that’ll happen again, it largely comes down to whether or not Syracuse hits their shots.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Pittsburgh (Reggie)
L's’s Pick: Pittsburgh
Phillsz’s Pick:Syracuse ( Kush )
Will’s Pick:
Texas Tech vs Kansas: Kansas by 20+ / AOR
Betting odds are currently in favor of Kansas @ -21, O/U: 133.5
I don't see Texas Tech keeping this close, and Kansas should take it by at least 20.
Odds are -115 both ways currently
Steaua Bucuresti beat Chelsea 1-0 at home earlier, so I expect Chelsea to come out swinging to get the 2-0 to advance.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Chelsea 2+ (Dro)

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Toronto Maple Leafs:
Look for the Penguins to extend their 6 game win streak in what is going to be an offensive shoot-out. Toronto is on a 3 game losing streak, in which they’ve allowed 13 goals.
ODDS:
-131/119

Will’s Pick:
Villanova vs Louisville: How many points will the leading scorer have at halftime? 10/Fewer / 11+
While ‘Nova likes to spread the ball, Louisville only has one pure scorer in Russ Smith, who averages 17.9 PPG. I see this being close to but not over. Depends on ‘Nova’s D, which should help cover this easily.
S2thuhB’s Pick: 10/Fewer (Dro)
L's’s Pick: 11/more
Phillsz’s Pick:10/Fewer Accidentally locked in free green ( Reggie)
Will’s Pick:
Dominican Rebublic vs USA:
We have the 13th ranked Dominican’s going up against the 2nd best team in the world according to IBAF. While the Dominican’s are still undefeated, I think the US has the better team.

L's’s Pick:USA
Phillsz’s Pick:USA ( Kush )
Will’s Pick:
New York Islanders @ Tampa Bay Lightning:
Two teams that can score, but can’t stop it at the same time. Gonna be a high scoring affair. I’d stay away
The home team in this matchup has won the last five contests. In Addition the Islanders are 4-11 in their last 15 trips to Tampa Bay.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Lightning (Reggie)
L's’s Pick: Tampa Bay, Dro
Phillsz’s Pick:Islanders ( Dro )
Will’s Pick:
New York Rangers @ Winnipeg Jets:
Canadian teams in general have been strong at home this year, and I expect that trend to continue, despite a hot Rangers team.
The Jets have been nothing but inconsistent all year, while the Rangers are getting healthier and more confident. NY is 4-1 in their last 5 meetings with the Jets, and have won 5 of their last 6 contests. The Rangers will continue to build momentum with another win.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Jets (Reggie)
L's’s Pick: Rangers , Dro
Phillsz’s Pick: Jets ( Dro )
Will’s Pick:
Mavericks 3-Pointers made / Spurs Winning Margin:
Mavs have an average of 7.5 3PM on 20.1 attempts. Mavs have been playing much better since Dirks return, and the Spurs have been erratic at best without Parker. Sure the Spurs win, but I don’t think by as much as people may think
S2thuhB’s Pick: Mavs 3-Pointers (Reggie/Dro)
L's’s Pick: Spurs
Phillsz’s Pick: Spurs ( Dro )
Will’s Pick:
Villanova vs Louisville: How many points will be scored in the second half?
Watch the first half to gauge how the second will go. However, it is the Big East Tourney, so if it’s close, fouls could come into play at the end.
S2thuhB’s Pick: 36/More (Reggie/Dro)
L's’s Pick: over
Phillsz’s Pick: 36/More( Dro )
Will’s Pick:
Anaheim Ducks @ Dallas Stars:
Dallas is 2-3 in their last 5 home games, Ducks are also 2-3 on the road in that same span. While the Ducks are 3rd in Goals per game and playing great hockey so far this year, all but one of their losses came on the road, including 3-1 in Dallas on Feb. 8.

Will’s Pick:
Roger Federer vs Raphael Nadal:
Nadal owns the H2H here 18-10, and I don’t see any reason why that wouldn’t continue.
First time Raffy and Fed will match up since Nadal returned from injury. In the last four years, Raffy is 9-5 against Fed. Federer comes in at -140 to win, Nadal at +110. If Nadal was 100% healthy I'd go with him because I feel like he is the best tennis player in the world, but he's not and he truly brings GREAT tennis out of Fed like nobody else can. I have Fed here, but Nadal grabs a set.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Nadal (Kush)
L's’s Pick: Federer
Phillsz’s Pick: Federer ( Dro )
Will’s Pick:
Los Angeles Kings @ San Jose Sharks:
Kings are 2-3 in their last 5 road games, while the Sharks are 2-3 in their last 5 home games. With that, the Kings are playing better Hockey right now overall going 7-3 in their last 10, with the Sharks going 3-7. The defending champs should pull this out.
S2thuhB’s Pick: Kings (Kush)
L's’s Pick:Kings
Phillsz’s Pick:LA Kings ( Kush )
Will’s Pick:
New York Knicks @ Portland Trail Blazers:
Knicks win this one 9 times out of 10, but coming of a game last night in Denver, it’ll be difficult for them.
